Phil has studied philosophy and theology on his journey to the priesthood. He left that calling over fifty years ago when he married. Subsequently he had a career as a guidance counselor, raised two children, and became a caregiver for eleven years to his wife who died shortly after the 40th anniversary of their marriage.
Phil has devoted many years analyzing his spiritual journey from a choir boy in second grade to an altar boy in fourth grade, to the seminary after grade twelve, to ordination in the Roman Catholic Church, through six years in active ministry, followed by forty years of marriage and now almost six years in relationship with a second wonderful and loving woman. The analysis has lead hi to a deep spirituality centered on the here and now, concentrating on the practical and psychological aspect of the teachings found in the scriptures and other sources.
